“Sundara Bala” is a famous Hindi song picked up by devotees who traveled to India in the early 1970s to learn Vaisnava bhajans and advanced mridanga. It widely became popular amongst the devotees in the movement, although some uncertainty came regarding what the real lyrics are. Due to poor pronunciation skills or repeated photocopy and hearsay, many of the words have “changed.” On the advent of More Songs of the Vaisnava Acaryas book (1995), many of these hearsays and incorrect works have ended. What KKSongs presents is the actual lyrics. What notation we present is the tune similar to that one Bhakti Caru Swami has presented. There are other tunes, but this one is the most used as well as the easier one to play. It is very loosely based on Raga Maru Bihaga on a kaherva tala time. If you are an advanced musician and wish to convert to bhajani, the notes will be same although, some changes in duration may be necessary.
